The single debuted at the number one spot for the daily, weekly and monthly Japanese charts and went on to sell almost 600,000 copies. It is her last single to sell over 500,000 copies.

The songs Hanabi ~Episode II~ and Theme of A-Nation '03 were composed by Ayumi under the nickname Crea.
