Executively produced by Sean "Puffy" Combs, Kimberly "Lil' Kim" Jones and Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, "The Notorious KIM" is the second album from East Coast Hardcore MC, Lil' Kim, released on June 27, 2000 by Atlantic Records. The original album suffered from severe bootlegging and Kim was forced to go back to the studio and almost redo the entire album. It lived up to higher expectations than predicted. The album debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, selling 230,000 in its first week, making it the most albums sold in a single week by a female rap artist ever. The album spawned the hits "No Matter What They Say" and "How Many Licks?" featuring Sisqo and was certified Platinum.
