Void magazine

Void magazine

"Void Magazine" is a user-generated, ad-supported online periodical that publishes literary work by new and established authors each month. The content in each issue is comprised of original fiction, poetry, essays, interviews, and literary critique, as well as monthly editorials written by the staff. Void's mission is to bridge the gap between mainstream and independent literature and give exposure to writers whose work may be ignored by the extremes. Void also serves as a resource for contemporary readers and writers seeking more information on writing, publishing, and literature.

Founded by writer/editor Chris Steib in April 2005, "Void Magazine" received widespread acclaim from mass-market and independent publishers alike, as well as other literature- and culture-related websites such as [http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2005/08/09/chris_steib_founder_editor-in-chief_void_magazine.php Gothamist] , [http://www.compulsivereader.com/html/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1049 The Compulsive Reader] , Gawker.com, [http://www.mediabistro.com/mbtoolbox/avantguild_member_of_the_week/avantguild_member_of_the_week_chris_steib_22623.asp Media Bistro] , and [http://www.twodollarradio.com The Two Dollar Radio Movement.] The magazine features approximately ten new writers and produces more than a dozen new pieces of content each month.
