RNS formalism

RNS formalism

In theoretical physics, the RNS formalism or Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz formalism is a particular method to describe the degrees of freedom of a string in superstring theory in which the elementary fields on the worldsheet are the bosonic scalar fields describing the embedding of the string in spacetime, and fermionic fields transforming as spacetime vectors.
