Yingtan (zh-stpl|s=鹰潭|t=鷹潭|p=Yīngtán|l=Eagle Pond) is a
prefecture-level city in the east part ofChina 'sJiangxi province. It borders Fujian province to the east. Its location next to Fujian and its proximity to Zhejiang, have made it a strategically important city for centuries.
