Brijal Jagdesh Patel (born November 14, 1977 in Nairobi) is a Kenyan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a part-time slow left-arm bowler.

Though his batting can sometimes let him down (he has a first-class batting average of just 7, and has passed fifty just once for his country), his first-class fielding rarely lets him down. This can be partially attributed to the skill of his father, who is a former international wicketkeeper. He made his ODI debut on August 19 2001 against West Indies, at 23 years of age. He has played club cricket in England for Cranleigh, and was recently recalled to the touring squad to Zimbabwe, in February 2006, after being dropped.

He has played in 5 wins for Kenya, against India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. His most memorable batting performance is a very impressive 42 against the world champions, Australia in 2002. His highest ODI batting score is 44, which was scored against Zimbabwe in 2002. With the ball his best achievements are the prized scalps of Herschelle Gibbs and Shaun Pollock. In the field his most impressive dismissals are Sanath Jayasuriya, Marlon Samuels and Sourav Ganguly. Patel has toured in provincial teams to both India and South Africa. For the Kenya ODI team he has toured to South Africa, Zimbabwe, the United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka. He was also in the tour squad for the ICC Trophy in Malaysia.
