It is 50-73 cm long plus a tail of 19-38 cm. Males weigh 10-14.5 kg, females 8-12 kg.
The Assam Macaques feed on
fruit s, leaves, invertebrates and cereals.Two subspecies of the Assam Macaque are recognized:
*Eastern Assamese Macaque , "Macaca assamensis assamensis"
*Western Assamese Macaque , "Macaca assamensis pelops"References
