- Gugl-Meeting
The Gugl-Meeting is the largest one-day athletics meeting in
Austria and organised every year in the City ofLinz . Founded in 1988 the Gugl-Meeting was IAAF Grand Prix meeting from 1994 onwards and has changed to EAA Premium Status in 2006. Many big athletic stars have started at the Gugl-Meeting:Carl Lewis ,Colin Jackson ,Allen Johnson ,Marion Jones ,Ivan Pedroso ,Maria de Lurdes Mutola ,Javier Sotomayor and many more. The Linz track is famous for fast 100 m sprints and excellent long jumps in the past.Some meeting records: 9.94 s
