Naa Kahídi Dancers

Naa Kahídi Dancers

Naa Kahídi Dancers perform for tourists every summer at the Sheet'ká Kwáan Naa Kahídi in Sitka, Alaska. Dancers of all ages participate, singing and drumming songs that tell stories of Tlingit legends.

The regalia worn is often made by grandparents, parents, or by the dancers themselves. Regalia can include robes, dance shirts, and moccasins. Traditionally, the opposite clan makes the regalia. For example, if the dancer is Raven, an Eagle would make the regalia.
