The Institute of Engineering and Fertilizer Research (or IEFR) in Faisalabad is a Pakistan institution. It strives to be "a modern center of excellence for research and development in the fields of sciences, engineering and technologies."[1]

The institute got ISO 9001-2000 certification in 2006.

Staff

The director/vice chancellor is Prof. Dr. Javaid Rabbanni Khan, who took his Ph.D. chemical engineering in the UK in 1980 and served at UET Lahore for more than 25 years.

Programs

The institute has four engineering academic programs.

  • B.Sc Electrical Engineering
  • B.Sc Chemical Engineering
  • B.Sc Mechanical Engineering
  • B.Sc(Hons.) Computer Science

The Chemical Engineering department offers programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Mechanical Engineering department began in 2004, with Dr. Abdul Rehman Sheikh as head.

Affiliation

The engineering programs of NFC IEFR are affiliated with UET Lahore. UET controls the academic programs and examinations of the institution. The engineering programs are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council.
