Kenji Fukui

Kenji Fukui

was the commentator for the FujiTV show "Iron Chef" for the program's entire run. He is known for his frequent jokes towards actors and guests on the show, and has a comical attitude on the show. He is the almost constant narrator on the show and talks about the food being used, the chefs, and explains the finished dishes to the home audience before they are judged. He also asks floor reporter Ohta Shinichiro questions and (in the English-dubbed version seen on the Food Network cable television channel in the United States) gives him permission to talk by saying "Go".

In the English-language dubbed version of the program shown on the Food Network in the USA, Fukui is voiced by Bill Bickard, and still referred to by the floor reporter with the traditional Japanese suffix "-san".
