John Shepherd (actor)

John Shepherd is an American actor and producer who has starred in film and on television. He is best known for his role in the 1985 horror film ' as Tommy Jarvis. John refused to reprise this role for ' because he became a devout Christian.

Other movies he starred in were the 1992 movie "Deep Cover" and in the 1996 comedy film "Down Periscope" with Kelsey Grammer. His most recent film is in the 2000 movie "Bless the Child".

John has made guest appearances on TV shows like "Quantum Leap", "Tour of Duty", "", and "T.J. Hooker".

John Shepherd is currently the President of Mpower Pictures and the producer of such films as The Ultimate Gift, Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius, and Co-Executive Producer of Bella (film).

He also has a film showing at the Toronto film festival called The Stoning (film) and a newly produced film American Carol (film) coming out in October.
