Alan Aranoff

Alan Aranoff (אלן אהרונוף) is an American-Israeli architect, born in Los Angeles, California, 1958. Trained at UCLA (M.Arch 1984, under Charles Willard Moore) and practiced at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in New York (1984-87), in large scale commercial design, where he received his professional licensing. Went on to work at Karmi Associates in Tel Aviv (1988-91) as a senior designer, primarily involved with the design of the Israel Supreme Court building in Jerusalem, but also large scale residential construction. From 1991 has run an independent architectural design and consulting practice in Tel Aviv, and presently in Lapid, Israel, designing residential projects, synagogues and large governmental complexes. Current work employs advanced digital modeling of complex forms, working with international teams of designers and engineers, as a means to achieve rich built environments that are highly focused on users and context.
