August 7 ,1961 inSt. Louis, Missouri [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0772428/ ] ) is aLos Angeles, California based musician, actor and composer best known as bass player forThe Circle Jerks andThe Weirdos and for his contributions to a number of independent (cult status) feature films. His first screen appearance was as "Kevin the Nerd" in "Repo Man". It's been rumored that this character was the inspiration for "Napoleon Dynamite ". He went on to appear in a number ofAlex Cox films as well as significant musical contributions in other Cox features such as "Sid & Nancy " (1986), "Straight to Hell" (1987), "Walker " (1987), "El Patrullero " (1991) and "The Winner " (1996).Schloss joined the
Circle Jerks in 1984. He departed after two albums to join up with former Clash front manJoe Strummer in London as musical director and lead guitarist/multi-instrumentalist on several tours, solo albums and sound tracks.Upon returning to Los Angeles, Schloss continued his work with
