Pagham Harbour is a natural harbour on
England 's south coast. It is south of the city ofChichester and near the towns ofPagham andSelsey .Geographically it is the smallest and most easterly of the harbours of the
Solent .Its importance for wildlife has seen it designated
SSSI ,Special Protection Area and a Ramsar site. Its shingle spit is further designated aGeological Conservation Review site . In spring or autumn rare migatory birds can often be seen. Pagham HarbourLocal Nature Reserve covers convert|1450|acre|km2|0 of saltmarsh, mudflats, farmland, copses, lagoons, reedbeds and shingle beaches.Rare bird species
