Paul Rhys for seven years. He was however, not present throughout the term of her illness. Instead, Arkie was cared for by friend and sometimes lover, Malcolm Tweedie. After her father's death, Arkie Whiteley negotiated with the New South Wales government to purchase his studio and run it as a studio museum managed by theArt Gallery of New South Wales .She was married twice, to Christopher Kuhn (from 1995 until their divorce in 1999), and to Jim Elliott (from December 2001 until Whiteley's death on 19 December 2001).
She died from
adrenal cancer aged 37, on the birthday of her ex-lover Paul Rhys.External links
