Benevento Calcio is an Italian football club, based in Benevento, Campania. The club was founded in 1929 as Sporting Benevento and refounded in 2005. Benevento played in Serie C2/C and promoted to Lega Pro Prima Divisione as first in 2007-2008 season. The team's colors are yellow and red.

History

After working their way up lower divisions in their earliest years, Benevento reached Lega Pro Prima Divisione (today's equivalent is Serie C1) by 1935; here they finished above clubs such as Reggina in their first season within the league. The league's name was changed to Serie C the following year.
