Mike Tamulionis

Mike Tamulionis

Mike Tamulionis (born August 10, 1980) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He bats right-handed and throws right-handed. He is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 175 pounds.

Tamulionis was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 31st Round (935th Overall) of the 2003 amateur draft. Mike was also drafted the previous year in the very same round by the Texas Rangers after they had watched him throw for about 3 minutes. However, Mike chose to go back to St. John's University and finish out his degree.

Mike is from West Bridgewater, Massachusetts and currently lives in Southern Florida. Had he not been forced out of baseball by arm injuries (he required Tommy John surgery), he most definitely was in the St. Louis Cardinals' future plans. Their major league pitching coach, Dave Duncan, noted that Mike had the skills and the makeup to be a big-leaguer, throwing in the low to mid 90's mph.
