The Styria Medien AG was founded in 1869. It is the third largest media concern in Austria and has 2.400 employees in the concern generating a turnover of 392 million Euros (2004). Styria prints 5 daily and 14 weekly newspapers, 6 magazines, runs 4 online services, 5 radio and 3 TV programmes, 5 book publishers and also a large retail book company.

Styria-Fahrradwerke

The Styria-Fahrradwerke in Graz were founded by Johann Puch in 1889 and later taken up as a brand name for bicycles by the Puch-Werke. They were located in 8020 Graz Köstenbaumgasse 17 [http://www.korso.at/korso/kunst/famus.htm] . The brand name Puch was sold to Piaggio and the fabrication of bicycles in Graz was abandoned.
