The House Of Shock is a haunted house located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Every year the House Of Shock is open on the weekends of October, and then the week of Halloween it is open an extra two days. The House Of Shock is known for it's satanic themes and intensity.

History

The origins of the House Of Shock started back in 1992 as a backyard haunted house. This continued for two years with much controversy from the neighbors. The third year of operation, the owners rented a warehouse. This is when public officials tried to shut the House Of Shock down. The City Council thought the House Of Shock was not appropriate for public viewing. In the end, the House Of Shock was not shut down. The House Of Shock still operates and is considered one of the best haunted houses in the United States.
