Spearmint (1903-1924) was an English Thoroughbred race horse bred by Sir Tatton Sykes. He was out of the mare Maid of the Mint by Minting and sired by the New Zealand runner/stallion, Carbine, a New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame and Australian Racing Hall of Fame inductee.

Purchased by Major Eustace Loder, Spearmint was trained by Peter-Purcell Gilpin. The colt's racing career was limited due to health problems and he made only five starts, winning three times, including the 1906 Epsom Derby, England's most prestigious flat race, and at Longchamp Racecourse, France's most important race at the time, the Grand Prix de Paris.

As a sire

Spearmint was a very successful sire as well as a broodmare sire. Among his offspring, he notably sired:
* Sentiment (b. 1912) - dam of Night Raid, sire of Phar Lap
* Plucky Liege (b. 1912) - dam of Bull Dog and Sir Gallahad III
* Johren (b. 1915) - very successful racing in the United States and whose wins included the 1918 Belmont Stakes
* Spion Kop (b. 1917), won 1920 Epsom Derby
* Royal Lancer (b. 1919) - won the English Classic, the St. Leger Stakes, and the Irish St. Leger
* Spike Island (b. 1919) - won Irish 2000 Guineas, Irish Derby
