Edward Jay Epstein (born 1935) is an American
journalist . Epstein attendedCornell University during the 1960s, where he received his BA. Epstein was an early critic of theWarren Commission . His Masters thesis, also at Cornell, was titled "Inquest: The Warren Commission and the Establishment of Truth". His Harvard Ph.D. (1973) was on "The selection of reality on network news."Epstein writes the "Hollywood Economist" column for "Slate.com".
