Nevan (Irish Gaelic Naomhán, pronounced [ˈnævæn]) meaning "saintly"[1][2] was a minor saint in Irish folklore.[3] It means holy, little holy one[2] or little saint[2],or follower of the saint.[3] In Gaelic it is pronounced as NAO-vahn. In English it is commonly pronounced as "Nevin," but should be pronounced as Neven/NEH-vahn. It is a rare Irish given name.[4]
