New Democratic Party candidates, 1981 Ontario provincial election

The New Democratic Party of Ontario ran a full slate of candidates in the 1981 provincial election, and won 21 seats out of 125 to become the third-largest party in the legislature. Many of the party's candidates have their own biography pages; information about others may be found here.


=Don F. Loucks (St. Catharines)=

Loucks had a letter published in the "Globe and Mail" newspaper on June 13, 1980, advocating compulsory checkoffs to strengthen the power of trade unions.ref|checkoff. He received 4,927 votes (15.47%) in the 1981 election, finishing third against Liberal incumbent Jim Bradley.

There is a Don Loucks who works as an historical architect in Toronto, but this does not appear to be the same person.
