- Burton Pike
Burton Pike is Professor Emeritus of Comparative Literature at the
CUNY Graduate Center . He received his Ph. D. fromHarvard University , and has also taught at theUniversity of Hamburg ,Cornell University , andQueens College andHunter College of theCity University of New York . He has also been a Visiting Professor atYale University . Burton Pike is a recipient of aGuggenheim Fellowship , a fellowship from theAmerican Council of Learned Societies ,and aFulbright fellowship. He was awarded the Medal of Merit by the City ofKlagenfurt , Austria, for his work onRobert Musil . Finalist and special citation,PEN/Book-of-the-Month Club Translation Prize for editing and co-translatingRobert Musil ,The Man Without Qualities .Books
