Robert Leroy Mothersbaugh, Jr. (born August 11 1952 in Akron, Ohio), or "Bob 1", is the lead guitar player and occasional vocalist for Devo and younger brother of lead vocalist Mark Mothersbaugh. He went on to be part of the music production company Mutato Muzika.

Other work

Following Devo's breakup in 1991, Bob started his own band called The Bob I Band, recording an unreleased album with drummer David Kendrick. The tapes were lost, though a bootleg of the band is circulating.

Mothersbaugh produces soundtracks for film and television, such as the animated television series "Rugrats" as part of the aforementioned company Mutato Muzika.
