Paul Cullen is the former head coach of Super League club Warrington Wolves.cite web|url=http://www.warringtonwolves.org/news/Wolves7736.ink|title=Warrington Wolves and Head Coach Paul Cullen have today parted company by mutual consent|publisher=Warrington Wolves|date=2008-05-27|accessdate=2008-05-27]

Cullen joined Warrington Wolves in 1980, where he stayed for 17 years. He played mainly in the centre position at the club.

After ending his playing career in 1996, Cullen moved into coaching. He had spells on the coaching staff at Warrington. He worked in both the under-21s and as assistant coach.

In 2000 he moved to Cumbrian side Whitehaven

He accepted his first Super League head coaching role at Warrington in August 2002, replacing David Plange.

Cullen successfully steered the Wolves away from relegation, and towards play-off football.

In 2006 he was appointed the Head Coach of England 'A' ahead of the Federation Shield tournament in the autumn.

On 26 May 2008, following a run of poor form that culminated in a 36-28 to struggling Castleford Tigers, Cullen resigned from his position as Head Coach amid heavy pressure from fans and pundits. He was the longest serving coach in the league at the time of his departure, having spent 6 years in charge of the Wolves and guided them to a Challenge Cup Semi-Final and a play-off victory.

His replacement is not yet known, with assistant James Lowes expected to take over in the short term.cite web|url=http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12196_3615939,00.html|title=Cullen on the brink|publisher=Sky Sports|date=2008-05-27|accessdate=2008-05-27] cite web|url=http://www.skysports.com/rugbyleague/match_reaction/0,19936,11070_2923791,00.html|title=No comment from Cullen|publisher=Sky Sports|date=2008-05-26|accessdate=2008-05-27] [http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/sport/wolves/wolvesnews/display.var.2297674.0.end_of_an_era_as_cullen_says_goodbye.php]

Cullen is currently working for Sky Sports on a part time basis.
