United Online (NASDAQ: UNTD) is a public company formed by the 2001 merger of NetZero and Juno Online Services.[1] The company's range of products and services has evolved significantly since inception, primarily through a series of acquisitions that have included Classmates Online (2004), MyPoints (2006) and FTD Group, Inc. (2008).[2]. It is based in Woodland Hills, California, United States.
United Online is a provider of consumer products and services over the Internet, where the company's brands have attracted a large online audience that includes more than 60 million registered accounts.[3] The company has three operating segments: Florists' Transworld Delivery (FTD), Classmates Media and Communications.[4] FTD segment offerings include floral related products and services for consumers and retail florists that are marketed under the FTD and Interflora brands. Classmates Media segment offerings include online social networking services, primarily under the Classmates.com and StayFriends brands, and online loyalty marketing services under the MyPoints brand. Communications segment offerings include Internet access and email, primarily under the NetZero and Juno brands.[5]
The current chairman, president, and CEO of United Online is Mark Goldston.[6]
United Online also has an offshore development center (Juno Online Services Development Pvt. Ltd) at Hyderabad, India.[7]
