It is located in the southwestern part of Belarus, bordering the Podlasie and
Lublin Voivodship s ofPoland on the east, the Volyn andRivne Oblast s ofUkraine on the south, the Hrodna andMinsk Voblast s on the north, and theHomyel Voblast on the east. The voblast' covers at total area of 32,300 km², about 15,7% of the national total.It is oftain dubbed the "Western gateway" to
