Stockholms östra, Stockholm Ö or Östra station is a railway station in
Stockholm ,Sweden . It is the southern terminus of the Roslagsbana narrow gauge suburban railway system. The name means "Stockholm East" or "Eastern station".The current station building was inaugurated in
1932 and is located onValhallavägen in northeastern central Stockholm, close to theRoyal Institute of Technology , after whichTekniska högskolan metro station is named. The metro station, which essentially lies beneath Stockholms östra, provides an interchange between the metro and the Roslagsbana. Because of the two stations' close proximity, Stockholms östra is often mistakenly referred to as Tekniska högskolan, sometimes even by Stockholmers.Fact|date=March 2008
