On Broadway, she started as a chorus girl in "Follies of 1907 ", the first ofFlorenz Ziegfeld 's annual revues. By the late 1920s, Broderick was playing leads and featured roles, most famously in "Fifty Million Frenchmen " and, in the early 1930s, the revues "The Band Wagon " and "As Thousands Cheer ". Her film roles included the Astaire-Rogers moviesTop Hat andSwing Time . Married to a little-known vaudevillian named Lester Crawford, she was the mother of actorBroderick Crawford .External links
