Kadirur is a village within the Thalassery Taluka of Kannur District in the State of Kerala, India. Kadirur is located about 8 km (5 Miles) from the Thalassery Township on the Tellicherry Coorg (TC) road. Kadirur has witnessed political violence occasionally in previous years however it remains as a peaceful and law abiding locality at present.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Kadirur had a population of 28,989. Males constitute 46% of the population and females 54%. Kadirur has an average literacy rate of 87%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 88%, and female literacy is 87%. In Kadirur, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
