SAGEM (Société d’Applications Générales de l’Electricité et de la Mécanique), Sagem Communication became, in 2005, a subsidiary ofSAFRAN , the high-technology international group formed by the merger of SAGEM andSnecma .Sagem Communication product lines include

Mobile Communication
Sagem brand mobile phones with a focus on technological innovations, (cameras, screens, multimedia messaging, modules and modems...). The Mobile Communication Business Group operates a Research & Development center in Cergy, northwest of Paris, France, and a production plant at Fougères, in the Brittany region of France.
Broadband Communication
The Broadband Communication Business Group designs, develops and produces a line of products for the broadband, video and printing markets.The group deploys a Europe-wide network of subsidiaries (National Sales Organizations), distributing Sagem brand products in all major European countries.
Rumoros regarding Sagem's closure
On several websites , news apeared , that the French mobile phones manufacturer , will cease production of Sagem branded handsets by the end of this year , continuing on his OEM contracts .
