- PZL TS-16 Grot
The TS-16 Grot ("Arrowhead") was a supersonic striker /military jet trainer and ground attack plane in another versions designed in
Poland byTadeusz Sołtyk -designer of earlierTS-8 Bies andTS-11 Iskra - the first in 100% polish jet (without any foregein support from East- what it was received very cold onKremlin inUSSR ; or West-what is obvious, because Poland was under Soviet prottection) . The project was started in 1958 and cancelled in 1964 for unknown reasons before production could start, although a prototype designated TS-16RD was built. The plane used Soviet RD-9B engines from the MIG-19 although an indigenous engine called the SO-2 was also in development. The production version was to have two engines, although the TS-16RD prototype built had only one.Graphics
