Andres Oper (born November 7, 1977 in Tallinn) is an Estonian professional footballer, who plays in Dutch Eredivisie, for Roda JC. He plays the position of striker and is also a member of the Estonia national football team.

Club career

Early career

In 1994 Oper started his football career at FC Flora Tallinn. He was tracked by Arsenal as a 21-year old. But no deal was ever reached. Aalborg BK

Oper was transferred to Danish Superliga club Aalborg BK on July 2, 1999, for $1,000,000. He signed a 5-year contract with Aalborg. Torpedo Moscow

Roda JC

He scored his first Eredivisie goal on October 1, 2005, in a 3-2 won against Vitesse. International career

For Estonia, Oper is capped 111 times, scoring 35 goals. At the age of 17, Oper debuted for the Estonia national team in a 1995 Baltic Cup against Latvia. He scored his first goal on June 8, 1997 against Sweden in a FIFA World Cup 1998 qualification. Oper is also Estonia's national football team's all-time top scorer.
