Hebrew school can be either (1) the
Jewish equivalent ofSunday school - an educational regimen separate from secular education, focusing on topics ofJewish history and learning theHebrew language , or (2) a primary, secondary or college level educational institution where some or all of the classes are taught in Hebrew.The first usage is more common in the
