Next album ="Born in Africa" is an album produced by
Philly Lutaaya and otherUganda n exiles in Sweden. The songs on the album remain ubiquitous in Uganda, and the musicians remain among the best-known Ugandan musicians; they includeSammy Kasule on bass andGerald Nnaddibanga on percussion. However, Philly Bongoley Lutaaya has remained to be the most successful Ugandan musician in history even though he is now deceased. He died in 1989. He is also well know for being open about AIDS, the disease that has claimed many African lives and also took him away from his family and adoring fans around the continent of Africa. For most Ugandans, his music will remain in their ears for many years to come. He's one of the African musicians who could compose songs that appealed to even the western ear. His Christmas album "Tumusinze' translated 'Let's Praise Him' has improved many hawkers live around the time of Christmas as they sell copies and copies of the album towards Christmas. He was a man who was born to be singer and died as both a singer and musician.Phoilly B. Lutaaya's breakthrough came after his hit song "Born in Africa". This sold tens of thousands of copies in 1989. A year after that he came back with his album "Alone And Frightened" which was made solely for the world for the awareness of the deadly disease AIDS. It has a title track "Alone" which really leaves you wondering and actually appreciating Philly's gift as a musician. However, it is Philly's lyrics that really caught the attention of many Ugandans as they really connected them to their daily lifestyle. Philly was a man who got what he saw in daily life and blended it in his music magic. He sang about money, marriage problems, love, war, pain in Africa, and urged the Baganda never to forget where they come from as life changes every day to the western lifestyle. We will always live to remember him and his music and most importantly the message in his music.
