DL.TV is a technology related IPTV show hosted by Robert Heron. It provides a mix of product reviews, tech news, and technology help.

The show streams live weekly on Thursday afternoons at 3:00pm ET/Noon PT from the Ziff Davis office in San Francisco, California. In addition, it is also offered for download in multiple formats on the DL.TV website and via podcasts. The show can also be viewed via TivoCast as part of the Now Playing list. DL.TV also streams on Joost, as well, with most new shows uploaded the day of broadcast.

History

The show was originally known as "DigitalLife TV," and was shortened to DL.TV in late 2005, possibly to avoid confusion between the show and Ziff Davis' annual technology expo show, also called [http://www.digitallife.com/ "DigitalLife"] .

The show aired its 100th episode on October 3, 2006. And a new intro sequence was introduced in episode #121.

On Episode 188, which aired on August 2, 2007, co-host Patrick Norton announced he was leaving the show and would be replaced by Roger Chang. Norton said he would be taking a new job, but in the future, he would be making guest appearances on DL.TV and CrankyGeeks [ [http://dl.tv/2007/08/episode_188_pda_vs_notebook_ho.php A Fond Farewell] ] . In December 2007, Chang announced he would be leaving the show at the end of the year. [ [http://www.crankygeeks.com/2007/12/episode_95_when_will_vista_fiz.php Roger Announces DL.TV departure] ]

The show was originally broadcast only on Tuesdays but starting on November 10, 2005, the show was also broadcast on Thursdays. Then on August 7, 2007, Roger Chang announced that they had made the decision to broadcast only once a week, in order to have more time to work on stories and introduce new elements to the show [ [http://dl.tv/2007/08/episode_189_apple_announces_ne_1.php Show Change] ] . The show has also gone through multiple changes in broadcast times over its run.

On TWiT netcast 126 Roger Chang announced that he would be leaving DL.TV, following Patrick Norton to Revision3.
