1989 French comedy/dramafilm in whichGérard Depardieu , well established BMW car dealer in the South of France, is cheating on his beautiful wife (Carole Bouquet ) with his ordinary looking temporary secretary (Josiane Balasko ).The mood is very melancholic aided by the solemn musical score by Schubert. The plot has a back-story involving the wife. There is symbolism throughout the film, such as the wife wearing black or white. The love displayed is very philosophical with no nude scenes.
