- MacLehose Trail
The MacLehose Trail (zh-t|t=麥理浩徑), opened on
1979-10-26 , is a hikingtrail that crosses much of theNew Territories , starting from Pak Tam Chung,Sai Kung , in the east toTuen Mun in the west in the territory ofHong Kong . The whole trail is 100kilometre s long, marked by distance posts at 500m intervals along the path. It is named after Crawford Murray MacLehose, the longest servinggovernor of Hong Kong . MacLehose himself was an enthusiastichiker . The trail passes through a variety of natural and beautiful scenery.tages
