Haynes & Boone

Haynes and Boone, LLP is one of the largest and fastest-growing law firms in the United States. It has grown from a handful of lawyers in 1970 to more than 450 lawyers in 2007. History

In 1964, Richard D. Haynes opened his solo law office in Dallas. While he was teaching a securities law seminar, he met [http://www.haynesboone.com/people/bio.asp?empid=118&page=search Michael M. Boone,] a student at the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University. Upon graduating in 1967, Boone joined Haynes. With a primary focus on corporate securities work, through their good fortune, they handled more than 15 initial public offerings during the “hot-issue” market of 1968 and 1969. This instant client base became the springboard for the development of a major U.S. law firm. On January 1, 1970, they formed the partnership of Haynes and Boone.
