"I Want You to Want Me" is a song by Cheap Trick, originally recorded in 1977 for their album "In Color", though the version from the band's 1978 album "At Budokan" subsequently became better known than the original. The song's lyrics and music were written by Rick Nielsen. It climbed the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #7 on the chart, and reached the top of the Netherlands chart. It was also the band's only Top 50 hit in Britain, where it reached #29.
