Malé , the capital of theMaldives . It is the first girls' secondary school in the country and still remains as the only all-girls' school in the whole of Malé.It was established in 1944 to accommodate female students from
Majeediyya School (then known as "Madhrasathul Saniyya") which became an all-boy institution. The school is divided into four houses, namely "Aminarani", "Dhainkan'baa", "Raadhafathi" and "Rehendhi".In 1971,
President Gayoom worked at the school, teaching English, Arithmetic, and Islam. He returned there to celebrate Teachers' Day onOctober 5 ,2004 .See also
