Kauraka Kauraka (1951-1997) was a
Cook Islands writer . He was born inRarotonga , the main island of the Cooks. Kauraka studied inNew Zealand ,Fiji and other countries. He published six collections ofpoem s in the English andRarotongan language s. When Kauraka died in 1997, he was buried on the atoll ofManihiki , northern Cooks.Bibliography
