Matt Warburton (born 1978) is an American television writer currently working on The Simpsons. In reference to Warburton, Current show runner Al Jean once joked that the show now has a writer younger than Bart.[citation needed] (One episode placed Bart Simpson's birthday in 1980; Warburton was actually born in 1978.)
