Sidewinder was a rock band founded in
1991 by brothers Nick and Martin Craft in the Australian capitalCanberra . They supportedU2 on the Australian leg of their Popmart tour. Funnily enough, they also supported the Irish band of the same name, on a tour, which for reasons which shall remain obscure, was also named Popmart. In the same year. Sidewinder's second album "Tangerine" received much airplay on Australian radio, most notably onTriple J .Post breakup
Both Nick and Martin are now signed to 679 Recordings in the UK. Martin released an EP, "I Can See It All Tonight", in 2004 and an album, "Silver and Fire", in 2006. Nick formed The Zillions. Guitarist-violinist Pip Branson became a touring member of
Something for Kate in 2001, and now plays with his own band, The Pip Branson Corporation. Drummer Shane Melder has been playing withDavid McCormack 's band.Discography
