24 July ,1975 in Cloquet,Minnesota ) is an Americanice hockey winger who currently plays for and captains theNew Jersey Devils of theNational Hockey League .Langenbrunner was drafted out of Cloquet Senior high school 35th overall in the
1993 NHL Entry Draft by theDallas Stars . He would then play his next two seasons with thePeterborough Petes of the OHL, scoring 75 goals and 115 assists for 190 points in only 124 games. In that second year he also made his NHL debut with Dallas. He did not become a regular withDallas until the 1996–97 season when he played 76 games and scored 39 points. The next year, Langenbrunner represented his country at the1998 Winter Olympics , but the Americans fell short of winning a medal. However in 1999, Langenbrunner had a good year in the playoffs, scoring 10 goals and 17 points and winning his firstStanley Cup with Dallas.On
19 March ,2002 , Langenbrunner was traded withJoe Nieuwendyk to theNew Jersey Devils forJason Arnott ,Randy McKay , and a draft pick. The next season in 2002–03, Langenbrunner had a career year, scoring 22 goals and 33 assists for 55 points in 78 games forNew Jersey . He continued his scoring numbers in the playoffs, leading the league in goals (11) and points (18) en route to his secondStanley Cup .Langenbrunner has played 577 regular season games in the NHL, scoring 125 goals and 197 assists for 322 points. In 103 playoff games, he has scored 26 goals and 31 assists for 57 points, with the majority of those coming in his two
