Yocrunch

YoCrunch is a yogurt, manufactured by YoFarm, that is unique for its toppings, which come packaged with the yoghurt and are to be mixed in with it. It is sold primarily in the northeastern United States in six-ounce (170 g) cartons. The yogurt is authentic and contains live cultures.

YoCrunch was first introduced by YoFarm in 1991, as a simple combination of yogurt and granola. In 1992 it won the "Best New Products — Dairy" and "Best Packaging — Dairy" awards at the Eastern Dairy, Deli, and Bakery Taste Show. A chocolate crunch topping was added in 1994, followed by a Cookies n' Cream variant (using Oreo cookies) in 1998, a Strawberry with Nestle Crunch pieces variant in 2003, and a Vanilla with M&M's variant in 2004.^{1 2 4}

In 1998 YoFarm began a promotional campaign in an effort to increase the presence of YoCrunch in what analysts deemed was an already overcrowded market. It was geared towards people in the age range 34 to 44, slanted towards females, and involved store and radio station promotion, under the slogan "Smooth "and" Crunchy". ³

In 2002, manufacture of YoCrunch was modified to use a vacuum conveyor to transport the dry ingredients, rendering the manufacturing process entirely hands-free.

Yocrunch was recently bought out by Breyer's.^{1 2}
