* Sydney Swans Rising Star 2003Adam Schneider (born 12 May 1984) is a
New South Wales -bornAustralian rules football er playing for St Kilda. Formerly a player for theSydney Swans Schneider was recruited from Osbourne and NSW-ACT U18 by
Sydney Swans through the2001 AFL Draft . He was Sydney's 4th round selection, number 60 overall. During his first season at the club, Schneider suffered minor injuries and illness, that sidelined him for over three months. However, in 2003, Schneider hit the ground running. Through the pre-season and other trial matches Schneiderman was in great form, and earned his senior AFL debut. Adam debuted in Round 1 of 2003 premiership season against Carlton. Schneider's form was good enough for him to hold his place in the seniors for all 24 matches, on top of that he kicked 30 goals for the season.2004, though, was a completely different story. Schneider, suffered a hamstring injury, which saw the exciting young goal-sneak sidelined for a month. He managed to be selected for just 12 matches, half of what he produced the previous season, and managed to scrape only nine goals together. During 2005 season he gradually improved and towards the latter half of the season he was a regular starter. Schneider went on to play for the Swans in the
Grand Final and scored Sydney's second goal of the match.Originally from the small town of Osbourne, Schneider spent most of his teenage years at
St Francis De Sales Regional College in Leeton and Kooringal High and Trinity High school inWagga Wagga where he decided to pursue Australian rules football after also excelling in cricket.Adam plays a fierce brand of attacking football and is arguably rated St. Kilda's #3 goalsneak only behind the great Steven Milne and James Gwilt.
Adam is in St. Kilda's best 22 most weeks, and has proved to be a 'mr. consistency' when it comes to scoring goals week in week out.
Along with his usual hangouts, Subway reamins to be one of his favourite places to relax and unwind after a grueling match day.
