Tomas Žvirgždauskas (born March 18, 1975) is a football defender from Lithuania.

Career

Žvirgždauskas has played 45 international games for Lithuania. His career started in Zalgiris Vilnius, where he won the Lithuanian league title twice. In 1995, he moved to Danish team, Naestved BK, but only played a few games before moving back to Zalgiris Vilnius the following year. His return to Lithuania was short, as he moved yet again shortly thereafter to the Polish Premier League and the team Polonia Warszawa, where he won the title. He later played a short period for Widzew Lodz, then going on a trial at the Israeli club, Hapoel Be'er Sheva F.C., but failed to get a contract [cite web|url=http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/fotboll/allsvenskan/halmstad/article2117119.ab|title=”Det går inte att vara snäll”|date=2008-03-25|accessdate=2008-06-23|publisher=Aftonbladet.se|language=Swedish] . Halmstads BK's supporters have given him the nickname "Zvirre", since they found his last name hard to pronounce.

Personal life

He lives with hes wife, Aorsra, and their two children, Patricia and Jostas. In his youth, he played basketball.
